bismillah.....
(maaf ye, xsempat saya nak translate tulisannya...)
THE WHOLE-BRAIN TEAM
these two thinkers make up the team we need for whole-brain thinking. here's a description of each thinker's strengths and short-comings:
THE JUDGE ('JUD')
likes things neat and organized and put emphasis on what's important today or what worked yesterday. 'JUD' is logical, practical and uses words to communicate thoughts, ideas, and commands. 'JUD' adds things up to come a conclusion and breaks something down into its parts in order to analyse it, believing in first things first and making sure each step is right.
THE GENERATOR ('GEN')
likes to think about possibilities and future. 'GEN' is stimulated by images and colour and needs to see the whole picture. 'GEN' skips around making connections that have been made togather that seemingly have no bussiness being together.
'Jud' and 'Gen' make a great team....except for one problem. 'Jud' is verbal and extremely good at communicating... 'Gen' is mute and communicates only with pictures and feelings. after years of emphasizing verbal skills in school and organization life, 'Jud' became much stronger than 'Gen' and eventually started to believe that 'Gen' wasn't all that smart or important. 'Gen' began to fade into the background, refusing to come out if 'Jud' was around, and took the role of playmate, someone to do hobbies or other, less important activities with. the conflict between them left us using half our brain to solve problems and make decisions... we were stuck in the day-world ('Jud')
creativity, innovation and critical thinking recquire both thinkers--Gen gives us possibilities and shows us new way to do things; ;Jud' helps us make those new ideas useful and plan their implementation. but to have them both working for us, we have to let 'Gen' come out for a while before we let 'Jud' in the room. when 'Jud' walks in with a judgemental, take-charge attitude, 'Gen' skips away into the darkness and stubbornly ignores all our coaxing to return.
sahabat sekalian, bagaimana agaknya dengan diri kita?
kenali dan serlahkan potensi diri.
~KERANA DIRIMU BEGITU BERHARGA!~
wallahu'alam...
